About the 42BELOW Cocktail World Cup 2011

42BELOW Cocktail World Cup 2011 is an international cocktail competition that puts mixologists on the world stage in the wild New Zealand outdoors

Regional finals will take place in cities around the world to find each country's most worthy mixologist. The winners of these finals will then be taken on tour in March 2010, down to 42BELOW's homeland where they will battle it out, country vs country through grueling cocktail challenges to take home the winning title. During the 5 day event, contestants also get to rub shoulders with international leaders in the craft of mixology.

No other competition is like the 42BELOW Cocktail World Cup. Everything comes into play ingredients, intuition, and learning to work together as a team creatively, which is possibly the hardest thing of all.

The 42BELOW world title competition is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the best competition in the world today. There was nothing like the quality of this competition before and we will definitely not see this sort of professionalism for many years to come.

I've been to many cocktail competitions around the globe, but nothing like the 42BELOW Cocktail World Cup - this is what it's all about. The levels of creativity I saw was incredible. I can retire happy now knowing that the future of bartending is in good hands.
